Location and Schedule
This role will be based in our Sunderland Donation Centre and will also support our Durham and Consett Donation Centres when necessary.
Role
We are looking for a friendly and helpful new member of the team. If you have had customer‑focused experience, whether in paid or voluntary roles, enjoy getting out and about meeting people, and have a friendly and positive outlook, we want you to assist our teams in making the shop as successful as it can be.
As a Retail Area Collector, you will be primarily responsible for the collection and delivery of goods to private houses. You will assess donated goods for quality and assist in the shop when not required to drive, with an extensive amount of manual handling duties.
Requirements
* A positive attitude in delivering exceptional customer service
* A full and current driving licence
* Manual handling experience
* A passion for charity retailing
* Knowledge of the local area
* The ability to be adaptable and to think on your feet
