Assistant Quantity Surveyor
Location: Stockton-On-Tees
Are you passionate about contributing to the construction of high-quality homes? Do you possess strong numerical and analytical skills? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor at our Teesside office.
Role Overview: As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in supporting construction projects by assisting in the management of costs and contracts. You will work closely with Quantity Surveyors and project teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget while maintaining our high standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assisting in the preparation of tender and contract documents
2. Conducting cost analysis and providing accurate estimations for projects
3. Liaising with suppliers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to negotiate prices and terms
4. Monitoring and managing project costs throughout the construction phase
5. Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and forecasts
6. Supporting the Quantity Surveyors in resolving contractual and commercial issues
7. Contributing to the continuous improvement of processes and procedures within the Quantity Surveying team
Requirements:
8. Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
9. Strong numerical and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
10. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with construction estimating software is advantageous
12. Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
13. A proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop within the role
