As part of our growing
Network Development team
, you'll play a key role in delivering the Combined Authority's ambitious bus strategy. We currently have
three exciting opportunities
, each focused on a different specialism:
Network Development Planner – Bus Stops & Shelters
Lead the delivery of our programme to expand and improve bus stops and shelters, creating safe, accessible and welcoming environments for passengers. You'll manage contracts, budgets and suppliers, and work with councils and developers to ensure the right infrastructure is in the right places.
Network Development Planner – Fares & Ticketing
Shape the future of fares and ticketing across the region's bus network. You'll design and deliver products that make travel simpler and more attractive, manage fare policy and contracts, and introduce new technology to improve the customer experience for over
20 million journeys a year
.
Network Development Planner – Investment & Growth
Drive new investment into the bus network by securing
Section 106 developer contributions
and business funding. You'll turn these into sustainable new services, working with councils, developers and operators to deliver long-term improvements for passengers .
What we're looking for
Across all roles, you'll bring:
Experience in public transport planning, infrastructure, fares/ticketing, or service design
Strong skills in contract management, budget control and stakeholder engagement
Analytical thinking with the ability to solve problems and deliver projects on time
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A good understanding of the UK bus industry and political sensitivities
