Key Responsibilities As a Job Mentor at Bamara, you will play a crucial role in guiding and supporting individuals in their professional development. Build strong, respectful relationships with First Nations job seekers Provide individualised mentoring and coaching to support work readiness Assist clients in identifying career goals and developing job plans Connect job seekers with suitable training, employment, and community support services Liaise with employers to support sustainable employment outcomes Maintain accurate records and comply with Workforce Australia contractual obligations Skills And Experiences About you Proven experience in mentoring or coaching individuals in a professional setting Identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander/ or have experience working in a culturally competent manner Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to provide constructive feedback and guidance to support First Nations Jobseekers Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently to manage a caseload Strong organisational and time management abilities Empathy and patience when working with individuals from diverse backgrounds Knowledge of local industry-specific job requirements and career pathways is an advantage Experience in creating personalised job plans for individuals Experience in either employment services, youth work, community services or mentoring highly regarded Proficiency in using relevant mentoring tools and software Must have WWCC and be able to satisfactorily pass a police check Why Join us?
