About the role...
You'll manage administrative functions to ensure specific projects are delivered efficiently. You will be responsible for all event enquiries from start to finish, ensuring excellent customer service and quality delivery, with a focus on converting all incoming enquiries into contracted business. This includes handling payments and liaising with clients to plan and finalize event details, which will be issued as function sheets to the operational team. Additionally, you will provide leadership, motivation, direction, and support to your team of event coordinators.
About you...
You should have previous sales experience in a large hotel or conference venue, and familiarity with systems such as Salesforce, DEPHI, and Opera. A passion for sales and a strong desire to succeed are essential. You should be passionate about customer service and motivated to grow and develop professionally. Ideally, you will have:
* A drive for sales generation, networking, building reputations, and identifying new opportunities within social and corporate markets
* Knowledge of sales and events management in a hotel environment
* Experience in developing proactive sales campaigns that impact revenue immediately
* Confidence and ability to influence senior management
* Excellent communication and influencing skills
* Understanding of yield management
* Experience as a Meeting & Events Sales Office Manager or similar role
* Knowledge of OPERA PMS and S&C systems is desired
* Previous senior sales and events experience
