Electrical / Electronics Engineering Lecturer – Yorkshire
Job Type: Full‑Time, Permanent
Salary: £31,000 – £35,000
About the Role
This role is ideal for a dynamic and motivated individual with a passion for engineering and developing future talent. Whether you’re already teaching or coming straight from industry, you will be supported every step of the way with a fully funded teaching qualification.
You will deliver high‑quality teaching across a range of programmes and awarding bodies, working with learners from Level 1 through to Level 3.
Key Areas of Delivery
* PLC (Programmable Logic Controllers)
* Electrical Principles
* Analogue Electronics
* Fault Diagnosis
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, high‑quality lessons across Electrical/Electronics Engineering programmes.
* Teach and support learners from Level 1 to Level 3.
* Adapt delivery to suit a range of awarding bodies and learner needs.
* Assess student work regularly, tracking progress and providing constructive feedback.
* Contribute to the development and sharing of curriculum resources.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, industry partners, and the wider community.
* Support student success, progression, and employability outcomes.
Requirements
* Minimum Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
* Strong knowledge of PLCs, electrical and electronic principles, analogue electronics, and fault diagnosis.
* Industry experience (teaching experience desirable but not essential).
* Passion for education and developing the next generation of engineers.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
