We specialise in geo-environmental support for complex infrastructure developments and operations and have delivered projects across energy, industry, restoration, residential and port redevelopment.
Job Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, optimistic, conscientious and talented person with excellent communication skills and technical ability in relation to detailed geo-environmental assessment reports for human health and controlled waters.
About You
You will hold a degree in geology, engineering geology or a relevant environmental science discipline. A full, preferably clean, driving licence is required.
Desirable Attributes
* Masters degree in a relevant discipline.
* Membership of an appropriate organisation with aspirations to progress toward professional qualifications.
Responsibilities
* Deliver and author geo-environmental desk-based studies (preliminary environmental risk assessments) and general quantitative risk assessments to a high standard.
* Apply knowledge of the Thomas Telford Specification for Ground Investigation (Yellow Book) versions 2 and 3.
* Supervise and manage ground investigation activities including soil/rock logging, gas and groundwater sampling and monitoring in contaminated land projects.
* Demonstrate a thorough understanding of regulatory and legal requirements relating to contaminated land and experience with the planning process.
* Produce clear, well-structured technical reports and communicate findings effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
* Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, analytical and time-management skills.
