SEN Teaching Assistant – Woking Location: Woking, UK Position: Full-Time / Part-Time (Term-Time Only) Salary: dependent on experience Start Date: ASAP / September 2025 We’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team at Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools in the Woking area. Key Responsibilities: Support students with a range of special educational needs (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD) Working closely with teachers and other support staff to deliver personalised learning plans Creating a safe, positive and nurturing classroom environment Assisting with behaviour management and emotional regulation strategies Helping students build confidence, independence, and social skills Foster a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment Essential Requirements: A genuine interest in supporting children with special needs Excellent communication and teamwork skills Patience, empathy, and a proactive attitude Willingness to learn and take part in training Desirable (but not essential): Previous experience in an SEN or mainstream school setting Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, TA Certificate, SEND training) Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, Team Teach or similar We Offer: A friendly, inclusive and supportive school community Regular CPD and opportunities to grow your skills A chance to truly change lives for the better A rewarding role making a real difference in young lives All applicants will require the appropriate qualifications and training for this role.
