Hugh Baird College is seeking a dynamic and experienced Student Services Manager to lead and develop our centralised student support provision. This is a key leadership role within the Student Experience and Services Directorate, reporting to the Assistant Principal.

Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage a team delivering careers guidance, enrichment, welfare, and student finance support.
* Act as the College’s Careers Lead, ensuring compliance with Gatsby Benchmarks and Matrix Standards.
* Serve as an Operational Safeguarding Officer, promoting a safe and inclusive environment.
* Oversee the delivery of the Student Enrichment Plan and support high-quality student destinations.
* Manage the student bursary process and ensure effective financial support for learners.
* Collaborate with curriculum and support teams to enhance the student experience.
* Monitor and report on KPIs, quality standards, and service effectiveness.

Criteria
* Holds a degree (or equivalent) and a Level 6 Careers qualification or relevant experience.
* Has proven management experience in further or higher education.
* Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and data analysis skills.
* Is passionate about student development, safeguarding, and inclusive education.
* Understands the challenges and opportunities in the FE sector.
