Insolvency Treasury Cashier
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
About the Role
A leading professional services firm is seeking a proactive Insolvency Treasury Cashier to join its growing national insolvency and restructuring team.
This is a key role within the firm’s Treasury function, responsible for the effective management of client accounting and banking for insolvency cases across the UK. You’ll take ownership of your own caseload, support administrators, and ensure that all financial processes are carried out accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulatory requirements.
This position offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced insolvency cashier looking to develop their expertise within a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage client bank accounts for insolvency appointments, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Process payments, receipts and journals in line with internal controls.
* Prepare and review case setup and closure documentation.
* Reconcile bank accounts on a regular basis, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
* Liaise with banks, insolvency practitioners, and internal teams to address queries and ensure smooth case administration.
* Maintain clear and organised financial records for all cases handled.
* Provide guidance and support to junior team members where required.
About You
* Previous experience in an insolvency cashiering or financial administration role.
* Strong understanding of insolvency processes and client money regulations.
* High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
* Confident handling large transaction volumes and multiple priorities.
* Strong communication and organisational skills.
* Trustworthy, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
* Familiarity with insolvency case management systems such as IPS.
* Experience working in a professional services or accountancy environment.
* Interest in developing broader knowledge of insolvency operations.
