As manufacturing cell leader, you are responsible for managing and developing a team of technicians and operators in a manufacturing cell and ensuring that production goals are met while adhering to safety and quality standards. Cell Leader will be based at our Barnstaple site. This role does require being onsite 5 days a week. The salary for this role is up to £40k, depending on experience. What you’ll be doing Safety: Enforcing safety rules and guidelines and leading by example Quality control: Ensuring that quality and manufacturing cost controls are met Staff management: Monitoring attendance and absences, handling employee disputes, and recruiting new team members Team development: Develop your team by having development discussions, creating training plans, conducting training, and maintaining a skills matrix for the team Production planning: Ensuring that production planning and output are met Documentation: Regularly auditing documents to ensure compliance Daily Management: Run Gemba meeting and update Gemba log Lean Manufacturing: Ensure a good standard of 5S is maintained in the Cell Documentation and Visual Management: Keep standard work, SQDIP boards, and production targets up to date, ensuring accurate and timely transactions Collaboration: Work with the Production Manager and engineering teams to align resources and improve processes Customer Focus: Proactively address issues to ensure customer requirements are met Work in Progress Management: Control and manage the works orders assigned to the cellAbout our company At SEA, we develop and deliver advanced solutions to make our world safer, cleaner and more efficient.
