Receptionist £26,403 per annum (pay award pending) - Grade 1 Wellington House, Leeds Permanent – 37 hours per week Closing date – 7 September at 23:55 Are you seeking a new customer service role with added benefits? We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Receptionist to join our Passenger Experience team. In this front of house role, you will be the first point of contact for staff and visitors at Wellington House in Leeds, providing a professional and welcoming service. As a Receptionist, you will engage with a wide range of stakeholders, including internal teams across the Combined Authority and high-profile guests from both local and national bodies. As part of your daily duties, you will manage both the switchboard and internal calls, interpreting the caller’s needs and using tact and sound judgement to handle queries efficiently and professionally. This includes taking accurate messages or re-directing calls to the appropriate departments, ensuring a seamless communication experience for both staff and external contacts. This is a key role in keeping our front of house operations running efficiently and delivering a great experience to everyone who walks through the door. Please note our Reception operates Monday to Friday, from 8:00am to 5:00pm. The Role Reporting into the Office Facilities Coordinator, your key responsibilities will include: * Deliver a professional, friendly, and secure front-of-house service by welcoming visitors, managing switchboard and internal calls, and maintaining reception standards in line with security procedures. * Manage supplies (e.g., refreshments, stationery), assist with purchase orders, handle meeting room setups/clearances, and administer the Instant booking system including hot desk and room bookings. * Support the Building Manager with the upkeep and security of Wellington House, including contractor visits, ID checks, and general facilities coordination. About You You will have the following key skills, attributes, education and experience: * Educated to GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths. * Practical experience of successfully performing in a similar role. * Experience of switchboard and interpreting the caller’s needs. * Experience of dealing with face-to-face enquiries from customers. * Good understanding of booking systems.
