Teaching Assistant (Year 5/6 English & Maths Interventions) – Blackpool (FY1)

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming primary school in Blackpool (FY1) who are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from November 2025.
The successful candidate will provide targeted English and Maths interventions for pupils in Upper Key Stage 2 (Year 5/6), supporting small groups and individual learners to boost attainment and build confidence ahead of SATs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging intervention sessions in English and Maths, planned alongside the class teacher
* Support pupils with varying abilities, helping to close gaps in learning
* Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
* Foster a positive, encouraging learning environment
The ideal candidate will have:
* Previous experience supporting in KS2 (Year 5/6 desirable)
* Strong subject knowledge in English and Maths
* A patient, supportive approach with excellent communication skills
* The ability to motivate and engage pupils of different abilities
