We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Practice Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team at Ochilview Practice in Larbert.

About Us
We are a well-established practice serving approximately 6,000 patients. Our clinical team includes four GP Partners, an experienced nursing team, a dedicated phlebotomist, and a wider multidisciplinary Primary Care Improvement Plan (PCIP) team, including Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Physiotherapy, Pharmacy and Mental Health colleagues.
Our nursing team currently comprises two Practice Nurses, and we are looking to welcome a third colleague to join them as we plan for an upcoming retirement. You will be joining a close-knit team who enjoy working together in a positive and inclusive environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will take a key role in delivering high-quality chronic disease management and primary care nursing services, including:
* Chronic disease management reviews (Asthma/COPD, hypertension, diabetes, prevention of cardiovascular disease)
* Cervical screening
* ECGs
* Spirometry (training available if required)
* Health promotion and lifestyle advice
* Interpreting chronic disease management blood results, with support and supervision from our GP Partners
Full training in disease areas can be provided. There are also opportunities to develop further skills and responsibilities, including contraceptive reviews and other extended roles within primary care.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Holds current NMC registration as a registered nurse
* Works well within a multidisciplinary team
* Is organised, proactive and adaptable
No previous primary care experience? We still want to hear from you
We warmly welcome applications from registered nurses working in other settings (including hospital, community, or specialist roles) who are looking to move into primary care. We are committed to providing the training and support needed to help the right candidate thrive as a Practice Nurse. What matters most is the right attitude, clinical foundation, and enthusiasm for the role.
A non‑medical prescribing qualification would be advantageous but is not required.

Hours
15–22.5 hours per week (approximately 2–3 days). Working pattern is flexible and can be agreed with the successful candidate.
