Your responsibilities
1. Communicating effectively with a range of clinicians, managers, directors, associate directors, people who access services, carers/supporters/family members, stakeholders, and agencies.
2. Providing compassionate and effective leadership to junior staff including support staff and assistants.
3. Ensuring the delivery of occupational therapy student placements.
4. Supporting the completion of appraisals/personal development plans with junior staff.
5. Being responsible for the development and implementation of appropriate policies, protocols, and care pathways.
To be a Successful Occupational Therapist you will need:
* An Occupational Therapy qualification.
* Extensive and relevant post-qualification clinical experience with children and young people who have complex needs.
* Extensive experience of applying occupational frames of reference and approaches.
* Evidence of highly effective clinical reasoning skills.
* Highly specialist knowledge of relevant assessment and treatment models.
* Knowledge of how to work with neurodiverse individuals.

The 18-bed unit creates a pathway for patients to step down through their recovery. Ivy is a 6-bed admission area, and Rose is a 12-bed rehabilitation area, with the option to flex within the 12-bed area to a four-bed section that can serve as a further step-down with a separate entrance for patients progressing well and preparing for discharge to the community.
The aim of the service is to support women to improve their self-worth, build a better quality of life, and equip them with skills for community living and increased independence.
