Overview

The Customer Support Applications Engineer will provide essential technical expertise and assist customers with product support and applications within the industrial/manufacturing industry. This role is based in Warrington and focuses on delivering excellent service to enhance customer satisfaction and product utilisation.

The employer is a small-sized organisation operating within the mechanical subsystems sector, specialising in providing innovative solutions and maintaining high-quality standards in products and services across Defence, Aerospace, Energy, Formula 1 and Industrial.


Responsibilities

* Use product knowledge to guide clients in product selection.
* Provide quotes for parts and systems to potential customers.
* Provide technical support information.
* Formulate technical commercial solutions from customer enquiries.
* Aim to respond in a timely manner to technical enquiries.
* Liaise with the customer and engineering to ensure the customer receives the appropriate support.
* Help to ensure that the department KPIs are met.
* Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure that prospective and existing clients are targeted with relevant marketing collateral.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives within the business.


Profile / Qualifications

A successful Customer Support Applications Engineer should have:

* Excellent communication skills.
* The ability to work both in a team and independently.
* Able to plan and organise your own workload.
* Professional telephone manner.
* Positive attitude.
* Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise work effectively.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
* Excellent work ethic & attendance.
* Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office.
* Able to use ERP System to support the job role.
* Able to use CRM Tool to support the job role.

Qualifications / Education

* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or a related technical field (Aerospace Engineering, Physics).
