Offer description

Head of Corporate Development

Fully Remote

Salary: £120,000 - £150,000 (pending experience).

NH15983

If you are a proven dealmaker from the media or technology sector who loves taking transactions from early conversations through to integration, then please do apply. This is a senior opportunity to lead the M&A engine for a fast‑scaling digital media and technology platform backed by ambitious founders and investors and offers superb professional and career advancements.

The opportunity

You will own end‑to‑end execution of acquisitions, acting as the central deal lead across commercial, financial, tax, legal and operational workstreams. Working directly with the founders and senior leadership, you will professionalise and scale the M&A function while freeing the CEO from day‑to‑day deal execution.

This is a role for someone who wants real ownership: setting the bar on analysis, shaping deal structures, leading negotiations, and ensuring the right investment decisions are made.

What you’ll be doing

* Leading valuation, deal structuring, and term sheet negotiation on mid‑market acquisitions.
* Acting as the primary interface with counterparties, founders, advisers, and legal counsel throughout the deal lifecycle.
* Steering all diligence workstreams (financial, tax, legal, operational and commercial), identifying risks and reflecting them in valuation and structure.
* Owning the investment committee process, including preparation and presentation of business cases.
* Working with cross-functional leaders to design 100‑day plans and integration plans to ensure post‑acquisition performance and alignment.
* Managing and developing the internal investment team, setting analytical standards and reviewing financial models.
* Building repeatable playbooks, templates and processes to increase deal velocity and quality.
* Partnering closely with the commercial pipeline / partnerships team to convert strategic relationships into executable, value‑accretive deals.

“Nice to have” – commercial projects exposure

* Depending on your experience, there is an additional, highly desirable aspect to the role: helping shape and execute strategic commercial projects and partnerships alongside pure M&A.
* Identifying, evaluating, and developing commercial revenue growth opportunities with cross-functional stakeholders, building and securing business case approval, and transitioning these to delivery teams for execution and contracts, and coordinating internal and external workstreams to bring the project from concept to approval.
* If you have experience running complex, multi‑stakeholder commercial deals of this kind, please highlight it clearly in your application.

What you bring

* 8–15 years’ total experience, with at least 5+ years leading live transactions.
* Background in digital media is advantageous but not essential.
* Deep experience in mid‑market M&A execution within advisory, corporate development or investment roles.
* Strong financial modelling and investment decision making skills, with a track record of structuring earn‑outs and performance‑linked consideration.
* Demonstrated experience leading transactions from term sheet to completion, including direct negotiation with founders or owner‑operators.
* Confidence managing external law firms and advisors, balancing legal precision with commercial pragmatism.
* Experience leading and developing junior to mid‑level deal team members, with a focus on execution discipline and accountability.
* Comfort operating in lean, entrepreneurial environments and “rolling up your sleeves” to get deals done.
* Location: fully remote with a preference for UK/EU timezone, in line with the existing team footprint.

Why join?

You’ll be stepping into a strategically critical role with direct access to founders, the CFO and commercial leadership, in a business that is actively deploying capital and expects M&A to remain a core growth lever. You will have the platform, autonomy and backing to build a high‑performing M&A engine and define the acquisition playbook for years to come.

If you’re excited by the idea of owning deals end‑to‑end and shaping the M&A strategy of a high‑growth digital media and technology platform, we’d love to hear from you.
