IT Support Engineer Knaresborough Excellent opportunity in 1 st line IT Support that may suit a graduate or someone with previous experience. As the IT Support Engineer, you will: Provide 1st line support across desktops, laptops, printers, and basic networking Log, track and resolve IT support tickets using our ticketing system in a timely manner Assist with new user setups, including hardware, user access permissions, software installation and IT inductions Perform basic hardware installations, assembly, diagnostics and repairs Support network patching, backups, cabling and routine IT health checks Collaborate on internal IT documentation and inventory updates Shadow senior engineers on IT security operations, gaining exposure to cybersecurity needs and processes Interested in working toward an IT related qualification once established in the role The person Some previous IT experience in a support, helpdesk or technician role Confident communication and trouble shooting skills Strong understanding of Windows 10/11, Google Office, Office 365, and basic networking Familiar with hardware builds, setups, and troubleshooting Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Enthusiastic about pursuing a career in IT and keen to develop further skills Desirable Cyber security certifications (e.g. CompTIA Security, Cisco CyberOps) Experience with Active Directory, asset management, or basic scripting Previous exposure to ISO 27001, ITIL or IT security policies Keen interest in issues related to a company's IT infrastructure - internet connection, routing, servers (Windows and LINUX) and IT Security Knowledge of remote troubleshooting, software deployment and installation Benefits Pension, paid holidays, benefits and additional training resources Call Yasemin at Travail on 01423 530138 Travail Employment Group Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
