We are currently recruiting for Packing Operatives at our potato packing site in Boston, Lincolnshire.
As a Packing Operative you will be responsible for supporting production activity by packing finished bagged products into trays, crates and onto pallets. This is a physically demanding role which will require lifting and stacking of trays and boxes of varying weighs up to 25KG. General other factory duties will also be required.
Shift & Hours of work: 4 days on, 4 days off rolling shift pattern, working 6am to 6pm
Salary: £12.21 per hour
Responsibilities
* Accurately pack finished potato products into containers, ensuring that all products meet quality and weight specifications.
* Inspect products for any defects or quality issues, reporting any concerns to the supervisor.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packing area, following all health and safety protocols.
* Work collaboratively with team members to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
Requirements
* Previous experience in production or packing roles is advantageous, particularly in the food industry.
* Attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance.
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety standards.
* Physical fitness is required, as the role may involve lifting and standing for extended periods.
* Positive attitude and a strong work ethic to contribute to a team-oriented environment.
