About The Role
Team – Technical Marketing, Content and Social
Working Pattern - Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Vitality London Office. Full time, 37.5 hours per week. We are happy to discuss flexible working!
What this role is all about: This role is part of the Technical Marketing team, which serves as a crucial link between R&D, sales, distribution, and central functions. As part of the Marketing team, it supports Marketing and Distribution by providing technical positioning on products and market activity, and gathers feedback from distribution to inform product development and strategy. Responsibilities include conducting detailed comparisons of competitor products against our own, focusing on various medical conditions. This analysis helps develop marketing positioning and aids in product development. Additionally, the role involves contributing to thought leadership by researching medical advances and socioeconomic changes, and understanding their impact on the insurance needs of the UK population.
Key Actions
1. Developing a deep understanding of the UK health and protection market.
2. Performing competitor product analysis including interdependencies of different medical conditions, supporting the business in maintaining a competitive advantage.
3. Developing thought leadership material.
4. Developing new tools to help advisers understand and sell our products.
5. Creating effective marketing messaging that positions our unique selling points.
6. Reviewing literature produced by marketing.
7. Supporting the R&D team in developing new marketing-leading products.
8. Responding to technical queries from our sales-force.
9. Coordinating and managing the production of collateral from the team.
10. Assisting in the production and execution of webinars delivered to sales teams.
11. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
12. Working closely with internal functions including product, underwriting, sales, marketing, and training to help launch innovative solutions to the UK market.
What do you need to thrive?
* A level or equivalent in mathematics.
* Bachelor's degree in a mathematical, medical, or biological sciences degree.
* Good numerical and communication skills, with the ability to write and present for internal and external audiences.
* Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
* Motivation to undertake actuarial exams and qualify as an actuary.
