Description

ASA Recruitment’s client, a Public Sector organisation in Dalkeith, are currently looking to recruit a Minute Taker on an initial 2-month contract (with potential extensions) on a rate of c.£15.14 PAYE (based on experience).

Responsibilities:

1. Attending and minuting relevant meetings including Looked After and Accommodated Children Reviews, Child Protection Case Conferences, and Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangement meetings.
2. Review reports in advance to become familiar with the material. Attend meeting to take the minute of the discussion and outcomes. Type the document, seeking input from experts as required e.g. legal advisor, then agree the final document with the Chair.

Essential Experience:

3. To be competent in the role the Jobholder must have good interpersonal skills and knowledge of the various systems and software including Microsoft packages. They must also have previous experience of working to strict deadlines, co-ordinating and taking minutes and producing complex documents. They must also be able to type at speed.

Desirable Experience:

4. An understanding of the services the organisation provides to the community and the relevant regulatory frameworks associated with this would also be desirable.
