Were working with a large pan-European manufacturing business which operates 7 days a week that is actively seeking to add an experienced Multiskilled Maintenance Electrician to join one of its site Manufacturing Engineering Support teams. Shift Maintenance Engineer 40 hours per week - Triple Shift or Permanent Nights (plus overtime) Location: Nr Eastbourne, Sussex Salary: Dependent on Experience The positions responsibilities are: Reactive Maintenance on automated production, printing, packaging or finishing machinery Pre-planned Maintenance (PPM) - Input to and carry out preventive maintenance routines Mechanical fault finding Electrical fault finding with and without diagrams (three phase and control systems) Fault finding and repair on hydraulic or pneumatic systems Small installation projects Continuous Improvement to maintain optimal machine efficiency To keep clean any areas in which you are working, including transit areas to and from the workshop, the workshop and stores Support the Operations team in achieving targets Complying to the companys Health and Safety policies and procedures Contributing to cost effective technical solutions Deliver to the operational expectations Be part of a weekend call-out rota To be successful, we would like you to have: A recognised industrial Electrical qualification 18th Edition and Level 3 Engineering qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent) Have experience working as a Maintenance Engineer or as a dedicated Multiskilled or Electrical Engineer in a Manufacturing environment. Experience in the print, packaging or associated industries would be great but is not essential. But experience in a manufacturing or industrial automation environment is critical. Strong electrical fault-finding skill in particular on PLCs, drives and inverters Excellent fault finding and diagnostic skills Ability to read and interpret engineering diagrams Experience with maintenance PPM and RM programmes. Ideally experience working with highly skilled Operators or Technicians. Have good communication, organisational and team work skills. Self motivation, ability to apply initiative and determination. Specific training where required will be provided, OEM suppliers and via remote modem diagnostic support from the OEM.
