We are looking for a proactive and commercially aware Sales & Project Coordinator to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys building strong customer and distributor relationships while coordinating quotations, orders, delivery activity, and project progression across the business.
Responsibilities
* Act as a key point of contact for customers and distributors, managing enquiries by email and telephone in a professional and timely manner.
* Process and coordinate a range of sales-related activities, including orders, quotation requests, progress updates, sample requests, expedite requests, price queries, complaints, rebates, and referrals.
* Approve pricing and delivery details where appropriate, ensuring realistic lead times and accurate communication with customers.
* Proactively follow up quotations, identify opportunities to convert enquiries into orders, and support initiatives to improve average line value and commercial performance.
* Monitor open orders and customer demand, identifying where orders may need to be expedited, pulled forward, or updated to align with requested delivery dates.
* Communicate early and clearly where delays may affect supply, working with internal teams and suppliers to improve outcomes wherever possible.
* Support the progression of customer projects, including design-in opportunities, standard and custom product activity, and design registration administration.
* Work closely with sales, purchasing, operations, warehouse, and international support teams to coordinate activity and manage risk to timelines, cost, and customer expectations.
* Produce and analyse reports on sales activity, order books, trends, peaks and troughs, and highlight opportunities or risks to management.
* Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and product availability, and share commercially relevant market insight with the wider team.
* Help maintain customer-specific supply arrangements, pricing structures, and service agreements, ensuring agreed parameters are met.
* Support data maintenance and system accuracy, including customer part numbers, pricing records, and ERP/EDI administration where required.
* Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance service levels, efficiency, communication, and sales support processes. These duties draw directly from both source roles’ responsibilities for enquiries, EDI/order processing, quotations, delays, reporting, competitor monitoring, pricing, stock/order book review, special agreements, and design/project support.
Qualifications / Experience Required
* Previous experience in a sales support, customer service, internal account management, project management or supply chain role. Experience within electronic components or industrial components an advantage.
* Good commercial awareness and confidence to follow up opportunities proactively with OEMs and distributors. This will include topics such as quotation, pricing, lead time and shipping coordination, and project based support
* Excellent at planning and prioritizing tasks. Able to manage a busy inbox
* Analytical thinker with high attention to detail
* Clear verbal and written communicator
* Willingness and drive to learn about the electronic components industry
* Intermediate excel spreadsheet skills essential; advanced excel skills an advantage
* Confidence and experience in using ERP systems to manage order flow and quotations
* Experience of Opera ERP system and/or EDI systems an advantage
* Flexible and prepared to do other tasks as necessary
