Job Summary
We are looking for a dedicated and energetic professional to join our culinary team. Our kitchen focuses on authentic Spanish flavors, ranging from traditional tapas to modern Mediterranean entrees. Duties
* Assist with meal preparation and food assembly according to established recipes and standards
* Support chefs and kitchen staff with ingredient organisation and inventory management
* Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, utensils, and kitchen equipment in compliance with food safety regulations
* Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning
* Assist with serving food to customers or staff as required
* Follow health and safety procedures diligently to uphold hygiene standards
* Support in setting up and clearing dining areas before and after service shifts
* Ensure proper storage of perishable goods to prevent spoilage or contamination
Skills
* Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable
* Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
* Ability to assist with meal and food preparation efficiently under supervision
* Good organisational skills with attention to detail in handling ingredients and kitchen equipment
* Excellent teamwork and communication abilities to collaborate effectively with colleagues
* Basic culinary skills such as chopping, mixing, and assembling dishes are advantageous
* Knowledge of serving procedures and customer service etiquette is a plus
* Flexibility to adapt to busy kitchen environments and support various tasks as needed
