We are currently seeking a Category Manager to support the Off Trade segment, based in Burton On Trent on a Hybrid Basis.
The role involves converting the purchase intent of MCBC Brands, built by the Brand teams, into actual purchases at the right value. This is achieved by developing a detailed understanding of Customers, the role of the category to the customer, and creating optimal range and space recommendations to maximize category value and MCBC brand presence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead customer-facing strategies, with approximately 80% of support directed externally.
2. Coordinate with key stakeholders such as BUCs and CDMs.
3. Generate customer/channel reports to keep MFST informed on category dynamics, including seasonal events.
4. Enhance customer engagement through strong networking and actionable plans.
5. Identify category opportunities and vulnerabilities using customer data analytics and insights.
6. Establish outlet benchmarks within channels/customers against strategic ambitions (e.g., range, space, ROS).
7. Manage key category projects aligned with MCBC's strategic goals, such as Range Reviews and Governance, including shopper/guest expertise and activation plans for TTL campaigns.
Requirements
* Experience in Category Management, particularly in developing category arguments and presenting to customer decision-makers.
Proven ability to build effective relationships with customer decision-makers and contribute to profitable joint business plans.
