A Maintenance Manager will manage the Engineering Team to efficiently maintain all hotel operations, ensuring safety, security, conservation, and compliance at the highest levels.
What will I be doing?
As a Maintenance Manager, you are responsible for the effective management of all engineering and maintenance operations within the hotel, including energy conservation. You will also develop the Engineering Team and stay abreast of compliance regulations relevant to hotel standards. Specific tasks include:
* Leading the Engineering Team in daily operations, service standards, equipment schedules, and work schedules
* Coordinating maintenance activities with Housekeeping for guest rooms and public areas
* Developing systems and procedures to ensure health and safety of Guests and Team Members, and proper conditions for machinery and property
* Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations through communication with Government agencies
* Preparing budgets for Capital and Repairs & Maintenance
* Performing daily checks around the hotel
* Handling lift emergency release procedures as required
* Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical equipment
* Building relationships with internal and external customers
* Maintaining hotel fixtures and fittings in safe condition and addressing unsafe situations
* Developing and implementing emergency programs
* Managing energy conservation programs to minimize expenses
* Overseeing renovation projects, defining scope and costs, and supervising contractors
* Handling special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
* Introducing environmentally-friendly systems and equipment
* Monitoring KPIs for the Engineering Department and implementing improvements
* Managing team activities including recruitment, performance management, training, and motivation
