The media manager is part of the central communications and engagement team, whose core purpose is: to support and add value to projects and programmes; to ensure that staff are informed and inspired, and; to promote the work and build the reputation of the Integrated Care Board (ICB) and the Integrated Care System (ICS). The media manager will work across all areas of the teams activity and with a wide range of colleagues from across our care system. You will be responsible for proactive and reactive media work across the ICB, overseeing and coordinating all aspects of our media presence. You will develop and execute media strategies to enhance our visibility, reputation, and engagement with our target audiences. Main duties of the job The postholder is part of the central communications and engagement team, whose core purpose is threefold: to support and add value to the successful delivery of projects and programmes; to ensure that staff are informed and inspired through its internal communications, and; to promote the work and build the reputation of the Integrated Care Board (ICB) and the Integrated Care System (ICS). The postholder will work across all areas of the teams activity, centrally, and with place-basedcolleagues. They will take responsibility for our media work across the ICB. The postholder will play a pivotal role within our organisation, with the primary responsibility of overseeing and coordinating all aspects of our media presence. The postholders core role involves strategically managing and controlling the flow of information and content across various media channels, including traditional and digital platforms. The postholder will develop and execute media strategies to enhance our visibility, reputation, and engagement with our target audiences. They will workclosely with staff from across the wider communications and engagement team, at place and in the central team, helping to produce and commission content ensuring that our messaging aligns with our organisational objectives. Knowledge and Experience Essential • Experience and understanding of developing and delivering multi channel external communications • Experience of working in a large, complex organisation • Demonstrable experience of media relations • Experience in proactive and reactive media handling (including, eg. writing press releases and responding to enquiries). • Demonstrable understanding of the modern media landscape. • Experience of planning and creating a range of content for use in external communications • Experience of pulling complex information together from numerous sources. Skills and Abilities Essential • Expert written communication skills • Evidence of building relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
