Games, Animation and VFX Lecturer FXT We are looking for a Games, Animation and VFX Lecturer to join our team. This is a 17.5 hours per week, fixed term role from September 2026 to June 2027 offering a salary of £15,705 to £21,720 per annum. Why Join Us? Job Purpose/Key Responsibilities: To carry out formal scheduled teaching on the Level 2 Games (BTEC) and the Level 3 Extended Diploma(AIM) in Games, Animation and VFX Skills programmes. To engage with Next Gen Skills Academy as a linked business partner. To prepare learning materials/resources and student assignments. Marking of students’ work and assignments. To operate as part of a team in the monitoring, reviewing, standardisation and evaluation of all aspects of the programme(s). Skills and Qualifications: Games or creative subject BA Hons/Bsc Teaching qualification (Cert Ed or PGCE) Minimum level 2 English and Maths qualifications Teaching of Games, Animation and VFX or Games Design within FE (ideally Level 3 and Level 2) Working knowledge of 3D modelling and animation principles (Blender preferred, but Maya is an alternative) 3D Coat/Substance Painter Games design principles Games engines (Unity or Godot) Experience of assessment and internal/external verification processes Benefits: Outstanding facilities in state of-the-art environments Enhanced annual leave entitlement Enhanced family friendly policies and leave DBS checks completed and paid for by the employer Company is committed to CPD Flexible approach to work Employer Pension contribution rates currently at 28.6% Access to free car parking (subject to availability) If you feel you have the necessary skills and qualifications, we would love to hear from you.
