Salary: £30,188 - £34,452; Hours: 36 per week, 52 weeks
Pennywell Early Learning and Childcare opened in August 2024. This exciting new centre provides high quality learning experiences for children and families and is part of the MacMillan Hub.
Responsibilities
We are recruiting experienced Early Years Practitioners to join our team on a permanent basis. The successful candidates will be passionate about supporting children to be confident, capable individuals and helping them to achieve their full potential. They will be highly skilled at enhancing children’s learning and development, understand their role in supporting children to lead their own learning and will be enthusiastic about creating meaningful experiences and spaces with children. They will be effective team members who will contribute to the ethos and values of our setting through good communication and professional discussion.
The successful candidates will be required to work shift patterns within the setting, between the hours of 07.45hrs and 18.00hrs, Monday – Friday, with some late shifts on rotation each month.
Qualifications
* SVQ Social Services (Children and Young People) SCQF Level 7
* HNC Childhood Practice

This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out of the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. The offer of employment and commencement will be subject to the satisfactory outcome of both these pre‑employment checks.
Our salary range typically reflects the initial starting salary and annually increases until it reaches the top of the range. We are happy to discuss flexible working arrangements.
