Whilst based in the UK the post-holder will be flexible to travel within EMEA as required for the successful execution of their duties.
The position
You will report temporarily into the Head of People & Culture Partnering UK&I, pending the establishment of a global P+C Project team delivering strategic people and culture transformation projects within our global organisation.
You will be assigned ownership of critical projects or asked to support and will be required to engage local stakeholders as required to ensure their successful tactical delivery. You will work with a variety of members of the wider team in delivering commercially focussed people solutions effectively, often internationally or across Business Units. Examples of change projects will include, but are not limited to:
* Mergers, Acquisitions or Divestments
* Integration Planning, including transfer to desired state
* Organisational Design Projects
* Large-scale restructuring or transfers
* Implementation of large-scale initiatives originating in COEs, this could be relating to reward, talent acquisition and talent development for example.
* Country entry / country exit
* Significant international change-management projects
* A senior member of the P+C team, with broad and varied experience in business partnering and managing sizable change projects.
* Able to adapt to different subject matter utilising established knowledge and experience to move at pace.
* Handles highly confidential subject matter with appropriate sensitivity
* Collaborates with key business stakeholders and the wider people & culture team, both locally and globally, to ensure alignment to key business and project objectives.
* Keeps culture at the forefront of decision making, consistently pursuing high levels of engagement as well as the DEI strategy
Accountabilities
* Pro-actively deliver projects in line with agreed timescales, budget constraints and commitments.
* Utilise Management Information (MI) data to shape strategy and educate stakeholders.
* Develop and communicate structured project updates to Senior Management audiences and be comfortable working at all levels in the organisation.
* Leverages their network and resources, internally and externally to gain insight, understand options and research possibilities.
* Inspires and energises the wider P+C Team to support project initiatives at critical times to deliver successful outcomes.
* Partners with the business, leading on TUPE transfers, restructures, redundancies or other major change processes.
* Collaborate with People & Culture teams in other regions on cross regional/global projects
* Manage multiple projects, assigning appropriate time to each and managing each in accordance with agreed prioritisation.
Knowledge
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law practices
* Strong prior background in HR Partnering roles with breadth of experience across all HR competencies
* Prior experience of major change projects within a UK environment. International experience would be desirable.
* Understanding and evident commitment to developing organisational culture, equality and diversity
Skills
* Self-starter with a strong work ethic to work independently to develop project plans and drive to ensure progress towards critical milestones
* Ability to work effectively with all elements of the wider P+C team
* Ability to communicate and influence Senior Management
* Effective project management, problem solving, organisational and prioritisation skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with proven ability to communicate and influence Senior Management
* Excellent communication skills in writing and verbally including delivering presentations and project updates
Experience
* Varied HR business partnering experience in at least one private sector organisation
* Management Presentations
* Experience in change management processes including at a minimum restructuring and TUPE transfers. Prior experience of mergers and acquisitions would be desirable.
* Undertaking projects using a project management methodology.
* HRIS Literacy, including in-depth analysis of data
Qualifications
* CIPD qualified (preferred but not essential)
* Educated to degree standard (preferred but not essential)
