Our core business activities are teaching and learning, widening access to education, research and innovation and technology and knowledge transfer. - THE ROLE - The Environmental Controls Engineer is responsible to the Head of Estates Customer Services Greater Belfast to provide and maintain a comfortable environment for students, staff and visitors utilising building controls systems and to define, develop, monitor and report on operational performance metrics to ensure a quality environment and energy efficient operations. - ABOUT YOU - 1. You will be responsible for monitoring the building environment, meeting and liaising with end users to understand and address concerns in a timely and systematic manner, working closely with Estates Services colleagues to provide excellent customer service. 2. You will liaise with building users to understand concerns, and provide technical expertise and guidance on the operation of building environmental systems. 3. You will investigate issues and make or co-ordinate adjustments on building management systems to ensure the ongoing comfort of students, visitors and staff. 4. You will review and analyse building environmental management and energy performance utilising building management systems (BMS) and other monitoring tools and report on performance and make recommendations for strategy changes, implementing these as directed.
