An established Devon based accountancy firm are looking for a Manager (Healthcare) to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who enjoys variety, autonomy, and the chance to make a meaningful impact.
The Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a specialist Medical Team, providing expert accountancy, taxation, and business support to healthcare professionals, medical partnerships, and limited companies.
You’ll manage a diverse portfolio of clients, oversee workflow within the department, and play a hands-on role in mentoring junior colleagues. This is a role for someone who enjoys both client interaction and team leadership, and who wants to grow within a respected and expanding firm.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee the administration and progress of client portfolios, ensuring deadlines are met
* Prepare or review accounts, tax returns, and VAT returns
* Manage client billing and assist with departmental planning
* Support and train junior team members
* Liaise with Partners on client issues and one-off projects
* Build relationships with clients, providing high-quality, practical advice
* Contribute to marketing and business development activities
Requirements:
* ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
* Strong technical knowledge in accounts and tax
* Excellent communication skills and confidence leading a team
* Organised, motivated, and commercially aware
* Experience working with clients in the medical or dental sectors is desirable but not essential
