Chief Finance & Risk Officer (Ref: 228173)

Permanent, Full-Time: 37 Hours per Week

Band 8D (£103,764 - £108,206)

Location: Glasgow or Edinburgh base with hybrid working

Responsibilities
* Lead with strength, visibility, and engagement across Finance, Procurement and Risk Management functions ensuring the highest professional standards.
* Support and motivate people to help build high-performing teams.
* In your core financial accountability role, support the Chief Executive as the Accountable Officer, ensuring a robust financial strategy that aligns with the organisation's strategic objectives for the short, medium, and long term.
* Balance day-to-day delivery of the function's objectives with shaping the future strategy of HIS.
* Exhibit personal resilience to handle the role's demands, with commercial acumen and a commitment to innovation to ensure the organisation is fit for the future.
* Collaborate with the Executive Team to drive improvements in health and social care, and build alliances with stakeholders such as NHS Directors of Finance and senior staff across NHSScotland and within the Scottish Government.
Qualifications
* With a degree or equivalent qualification, you must be a fully qualified Accountant with CCAB membership and significant post-qualification experience.
