Joiner (Multi-Skilled) About the Role My client is looking for a skilled Joiner to join their Repairs Team. You’ll carry out a wide range of repair and maintenance work in council homes and buildings, helping us deliver a high-quality service to our residents. You’ll work closely with team leaders and other trades to ensure repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. What You’ll Do * Carry out joinery repairs, maintenance, and upgrades * Complete work in both occupied and empty properties * Work across other trades when needed (multi-skilled role) * Ensure all work is completed on time and to a high standard * Communicate clearly with tenants and provide excellent customer service * Follow all health and safety guidelines * Keep accurate records using a PDA or device * Maintain tools, equipment, and your work vehicle * Support emergency/out-of-hours repairs when required * Work with other trades to complete jobs efficiently What they are Looking For Essential * NVQ Level 2 / City & Guilds in Joinery (or equivalent) * Proven experience in carpentry and joinery * Ability to carry out a wide range of repairs independently * Good understanding of health & safety practices * Strong customer service skills * Full UK driving licence * Ability to use handheld devices (PDAs) Desirable * Multi-skilled in other trades (e.g. tiling) * Experience in social housing or repairs services * Knowledge of building regulations * IT/computer skills * Experience working at heights Skills & Qualities * Reliable and organised * Good problem-solving skills * Able to work alone and as part of a team * Flexible and able to adapt to changing workloads * Strong attention to detail * Positive attitude and commitment to improving services Additional Information * You may be required to work outside normal hours at times * You’ll take part in an on-call rota * Training and development opportunities will be provided * We are committed to equality and diversity and welcome all applicants
