What you'll do Develop innovative analytically focussed products and solutions that are ultimately commercially successful in the marketplace e.g. Risk scores, characteristics, affordability solutions, vulnerability indicators, fraud models, etc. Manage, lead & develop analytical teams in the UK and internationally & create a high performing culture Provide oversight to the output from those working with data and utilising analytics on a daily basis e.g. Data Scientists, Modellers, Analytical Consultants and Data Analysts Interact with key internal stakeholders both in the UK and internationally, develop successful relationships & create win-win outcomes e.g. Product Directors & Managers, Model Risk Management, Technology, Sales, D&A, Pre-Sales, Consultancy, Marketing, US Labs, global product & analytical teams, etc. Interact with key external stakeholders, develop successful relationships & create win-win outcomes e.g. 3rd party providers, clients, etc. Manage multiple projects / initiatives, delivering within timescales & budgets Develop statistical models using the latest analytical techniques e.g. regression, AI, ML, etc. Utilise all available data sources to ensure solutions are optimised e.g. CRA data, transactional data, client data, data from partners, etc. Adhere to and comply with relevant processes and governance in relation to Model Risk Management What experience you need Extensive experience of working in a data and analytics environment developing statistical models and/or strategies e.g. credit risk, collections, fraud, etc. Highly numerate with a relevant degree 2:1 or above or similar experience. Extensive use of advanced modelling techniques & methods e.g. logistic and linear regression, machine learning, etc. Experience of managing high performing analytical teams including goal setting, performance management, training, development & appraisals Extensive experience of using advanced analytical tooling e.g. SAS, Python, BigQuery, SQL, Jupyter Notebook, etc. Day to day exposure to large/complex datasets, analytical tools, spreadsheets, analytical platforms, etc. An innovative mindset, with experience identifying opportunities that deliver incremental business benefit through leveraging of data and analytics Experience of working in a credit reference agency and/or client environment e.g. Banking, Lending, Insurance, Public Sector, Utilities, etc. Strong communication skills and experience of managing multiple stakeholders Understanding of the regulatory landscape with respect to consumer credit and the potential impact to our clients (i.e. addressing the "why" behind our decision making) What could set you apart Day to day use of G-Suite tooling, GCP and VertexAI Use of credit bureau and/or open banking data in statistical models Development of models and strategies across the consumer lending cycle e.g. application scores/models, behavioural scores, collections & recoveries, fraud, etc. Experience of working in a product development environment Extensive experience of developing AI based solutions Analytically strong and experience of managing analytical teams Creative & innovation Excellent interpersonal skills Proven record of delivery
