Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to lead our team within a vibrant hospitality or food service environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary and restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee daily operations, ensure food safety standards, and foster a positive team atmosphere. The successful applicant will have a background in food preparation, cooking, and team management, with previous supervisory experience being highly desirable.
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily restaurant or hospitality operations, ensuring smooth workflow and high standards of service
* Supervise and support staff, including chefs, servers, baristas, and other team members
* Manage food preparation processes to maintain quality and efficiency while adhering to food safety regulations
* Coordinate food production and ensure timely delivery of dishes to meet customer expectations
* Maintain compliance with health and safety standards across all areas of the establishment
* Organise staff schedules, delegate tasks effectively, and monitor performance levels
* Handle customer enquiries or complaints professionally to uphold excellent service standards
* Assist in training new staff members and ongoing professional development for existing team members
* Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and dining areas at all times
Skills
* Proven experience in supervising within a restaurant or hospitality setting
* Strong leadership abilities with excellent team management skills
* Extensive knowledge of food safety protocols and food production techniques
* Competence in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations
* Experience in managing restaurant or hotel environments is advantageous
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy periods
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
* Good communication skills for liaising with staff and customers alike
* A background in culinary arts or hospitality management is preferred
