About the Role
An established and growing law firm is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join its well-regarded team in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated solicitor to work with a diverse client base, including high-net-worth and mass affluent individuals, delivering high-quality legal advice across a broad range of private client matters.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing a varied caseload, building strong client relationships, and contributing to the continued success and growth of the Private Client department.

Please note that occasional travel and some out-of-hours work may be required for client meetings, networking, and professional development activities.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a broad and varied Private Client caseload including:
* Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
* Probate and Estate Administration
* Inheritance Tax (IHT) Planning
* Estate and Succession Planning
* Trusts and Lifetime Planning
* Deliver high-quality, client-focused legal advice in line with professional standards
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, referrers, and professional contacts
* Work effectively to meet deadlines and performance targets
* Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and risk management procedures
* Support business development and contribute to the growth of the department
* Maintain accurate records using case management systems
* Demonstrate continuous professional development and technical excellence
Skills and Experience Required
* Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
* 3–5 years’ PQE in Private Client law (or equivalent experience)
* Proven experience handling matters such as:
* Wills and Probate
* Estate Administration
* Inheritance Tax Planning
* Trusts and Estate Planning
* Strong communication and client relationship management skills
* Excellent organisational and time management abilities
* Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
* Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to client service
* Experience supporting business development initiatives
* Proficiency in case management systems and Microsoft Office
* A collaborative team player with a professional and positive attitude
Desirable Experience
* Experience advising high-net-worth or complex estate clients
* STEP qualification or working towards accreditation
* Experience in business development or networking within the local Nottingham market
