GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and imaginative Teacher of Drama / Performing Arts to join a lively school in Nottingham. This is an excellent opportunity for a creative educator who can nurture students’ performance skills, confidence, teamwork, and artistic expression through dynamic and engaging lessons.
Role Responsibilities for Teacher of Drama / Performing Arts:
* Structure and teach high-quality Drama and Performing Arts lessons across Key Stages.
* Introduce key aspects of performance, including acting methods, improvisational skills, script interpretation, movement-based drama, and technical stage work.
* Encourage imaginative thinking, teamwork, and self-assurance through workshops, showcases, and hands-on performance tasks.
* Review learners’ progress, offer meaningful guidance, and help nurture their personal growth.
* · Collaborate with the department to strengthen the performing arts offer and support school productions and creative initiatives.
What You’ll Bring as Teacher of Drama / Performing Arts:
* UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
* Experience teaching Drama or Performing Arts within a school environment.
* Strong subject knowledge and the ability to inspire learners through engaging and practical lessons.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and classroom management skills.
* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
