Salary: MPS/UPS + SEN Allowance (dependent on experience)
We are seeking a committed, knowledgeable, and passionate Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) to join our supportive secondary school in Braintree. This is a key leadership role, offering the opportunity to make a significant impact on the outcomes and wellbeing of students with special educational needs and disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Overseeing the day-to-day operation of SEND provision
* Coordinating and reviewing Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
* Supporting and advising colleagues on inclusive teaching strategies
* Monitoring the progress and wellbeing of students with SEND
* Liaising effectively with parents/carers and external professionals
The Ideal Candidate Will
* Be a qualified teacher with QTS
* Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (or be willing to complete it within the required timeframe)
* Have experience supporting students with SEND in a secondary school setting
* Demonstrate strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills
