Job Title: Mechanical Engineer \n\nLocation: Beddington ERF \n\nHours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday \n\nSalary: £55,000 per year (plus annual bonus)\n\nJob Overview\n\nA fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Engineer to take responsibility for all aspects of mechanical engineering and maintenance at the site. Collaborating with EC&I engineers, this role is crucial in ensuring the long-term availability of the plant, protecting asset value, and meeting health, safety, environmental, and financial targets.\n\nReporting to the Engineering and Maintenance Manager, the Mechanical Engineer will lead the planning and execution of maintenance activities, overseeing stores and workshops, and using engineering expertise to mentor and develop others.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nOversee mechanical engineering and maintenance operations.\n\nWork closely with EC&I engineers to optimise plant performance.\n\nPlan and implement efficient maintenance activities.\n\nManage stores and workshops for seamless operations.\n\nProvide technical guidance to support team skill development.\n\nQualifications & Skills\n\nKnowledge of repair methods for mechanical machinery and materials.\n\nExperience working with Permits to Work and Safe Systems of Work.\n\nSupervisory experience in leading teams and contractors to achieve KPIs.\n\nFamiliarity with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems.\n\nExcellent communication skills, both verbal and written.\n\nRelevant engineering qualifications (HNC or equivalent).\n\n\nThis position is ideal for experienced mechanical engineers looking to apply their expertise in an industrial environment with a focus on safety, efficiency, and operational excellence
