Overview
This is an opportunity for an experienced and personable candidate to join our in-house catering team at Bournemouth School for Girls. The post will manage the 6th Form Common Room coffee shop offering, producing items and serving, with scope to contribute new ideas, seasonal drinks, and promotions to create a novel, vibrant and fresh offering for the 6th Form area. The successful post holder will join a team that provides catering services across the school and will be comfortable working alone for long periods or as part of a wider team of eight.
This is a term-time only and part-time post, working 8am to 2pm each day in term time, plus inset days.

Key Responsibilities
* To assist in all aspects of food preparation, cooking and serving of meals and deputise for the Cook in Charge when required.
* Preparing the area for meals and delivering a high-quality face-to-face meals service.
* Carrying out washing-up, cleaning of equipment and kitchen areas, as directed.
* Clearing and cleaning dining areas and preparing beverages, as directed.
* Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people in accordance with the school’s safeguarding and child protection policy.
Knowledge and Skills
* Formal qualification or 2 years’ experience in a relevant catering position
* School and coffee shop experience desirable
* Experience in a volume catering establishment
* Teamwork skills
* Reliable and dedicated
