About Us
The RAC is the UK's leading breakdown service provider, powered by a dedicated team of 4,000 'orange heroes'. Our unprecedented growth means we now have an exciting opportunity for skilled, field-based Roadside Mechanics to join our Roadside Patrol team.
Your Role as a Roadside Mechanic
As a Roadside Mechanic, you will need:
* A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent).
* Demonstrable technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
* A customer-focused approach.
* A full UK driving licence.
* Flexibility to work at relatively short notice.
* Willingness to travel and stay overnight if necessary.
Working Conditions
You will work the equivalent of 40 hours per week without a set roster. Your schedule will be provided seven days in advance, with core hours sent three days prior. Shifts will include evenings, early mornings, weekends, and bank holidays.
