SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) – BSL Level 3 Required UES1 South London (SM5) Start Date: ASAP Full-Time | Long-Term We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) with British Sign Language (BSL) Level 3 to join a specialist college setting in South London on a long-term, full-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to support deaf and hearing-impaired learners within a highly supportive and inclusive educational environment. About the College This specialist college provides education and tailored support to young people aged 16 with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). The provision supports learners with a range of needs including: * Hearing impairment * Autism (ASC) * Moderate to severe learning difficulties * Complex needs The college has a strong focus on: * Inclusive and student-centred learning * Developing independence and life skills * Supporting employability pathways * Achieving EHCP outcomes The Role As an SEN LSA, you will: * Provide 1:1 and small group support to deaf/hearing-impaired students * Use BSL Level 3 to facilitate communication and access to learning * Support students in academic and vocational sessions * Assist in working towards EHCP targets * Promote independence, engagement, and confidence * Work collaboratively with teaching and support staff Essential Requirements – Please Read Carefully BSL Level 3 (minimum) – Mandatory Child AND Adult DBS on the Update Service – Mandatory Experience supporting learners with SEN Strong communication and teamwork skills Patient, proactive, and adaptable approach Applications will only be considered if all essential requirements are met.
