TRAINEE ACCOUNTANT
Location: Guildford – Mainly office-based with some flexibility – Permanent

THE ROLE
* Maintaining accurate ledgers and reconciliations
* Assisting with bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
* Preparing monthly and quarterly management accounts
* Supporting year‑end financial statements
* Producing VAT returns with guidance
* Posting journals, prepayments, and other accounting entries
* Contributing to process improvements and keeping tasks organised
* Learning to use accounting systems efficiently
* Communicating clearly with colleagues and clients
* Managing your time effectively to meet deadlines
This role is ideal if you’re accurate, curious, and ready to take ownership of your learning while gaining real commercial insight.
YOUR PROFILE
* Comfortable with double‑entry bookkeeping or basic accounting principles
* Good working knowledge of MS Excel
* Professional, organised, and eager to learn
* Motivated to progress through a professional accountancy qualification (ACCA / CIMA / AAT)
