About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Data Science Technician to support data science and analytics initiatives. This entry-level role focuses on data preparation, basic analysis, and assisting in the development and maintenance of data-driven solutions. The ideal candidate is organized, technically curious, and eager to build a career in data science and analytics.
Key Responsibilities
* Collect, clean, and preprocess datasets for analysis and modeling
* Assist in maintaining and updating data pipelines and datasets
* Support data scientists in building and testing machine learning models
* Perform basic data analysis and generate reports
* Create and maintain dashboards and visualizations
* Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and proper documentation
* Assist in troubleshooting data-related issues
* Follow data governance and security best practices
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree (or diploma) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
* 0–1 year of experience in data-related roles (internships or academic projects included)
* Basic knowledge of Python, R, or similar programming languages
* Familiarity with data manipulation tools (e.g., Pandas, Excel)
* Understanding of basic statistics and data analysis concepts
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Good communication and teamwork abilities
Preferred Qualifications
* Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, or Google Cloud Platform
* Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
* Basic knowledge of SQL and databases
* Exposure to machine learning concepts or tools
* Understanding of ETL processes and data workflows
