Full‑time (37.5 hrs per week) fixed‑term 12‑month contract, site‑based. Salary £41,500.
Required qualification: HCPC / UKCP / BACP. Experience in addiction, substance misuse, mental health or rehabilitation services is essential.
Priory Hospital North London is located in Southgate, London, within a striking Grade I listed building overlooking beautiful parklands. It is one of the UK’s leading centres for the treatment of a range of mental health difficulties, including addictions, depression, anxiety, stress and OCD.
Conduct comprehensive assessments of individuals presenting with substance misuse and co‑occurring mental health disorders. Develop, implement and review individualized treatment plans, ensuring interventions are tailored to each patient’s needs and recovery goals.
Deliver evidence‑based therapeutic interventions through individual, group and family therapy sessions, utilising CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing and relapse‑prevention strategies. Manage a complex caseload, monitor progress and adapt treatment plans as required. Conduct risk assessments, manage safeguarding concerns and provide crisis intervention when necessary.
Work closely with patients throughout their treatment journey, promoting engagement, motivation and long‑term recovery. Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, occupational therapists and external agencies to ensure coordinated and effective care.
Provide clinical leadership, supervision and mentorship to junior therapists and support staff. Contribute to service development, quality improvement initiatives and implementation of best practices within addiction services. Maintain accurate and confidential clinical records, prepare professional reports and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, safeguarding requirements, professional standards and organisational policies.
Accreditation with a relevant professional body is required. In certain circumstances, applicants working toward accreditation may be considered, provided this can be completed within 12 months of appointment.
