Electronic Engineering Graduate required for established and fast growing business in Northampton\n\nIf you are Graduating this year in Electrical and Electronic OR Pure Electronics Engineering with a 1st or 2:1, I am keen to receive you application\n\nAlong with this position we are also open to consider an internship of at least 6 months if you are graduating in 2026.\n\nbasic salary £30k + annual bonus c£5k++ (after 12 months service), Healthcare, 28 Days annual leave including bank holidays\n\nJob Purpose: To gain experience and learn skills to be able to independently design and develop Test Equipment solutions to the highest quality. This will involve learning both hardware and software skills:\n\n * Design and develop electronic test applications for functional test equipment.\n\n * Electronic and Pneumatic system design\n\n * Executing hardware design tasks in accordance with the hardware development plan, whilst meeting agreed timescales\n\n * Develop hardware product test specifications and procedures in-line with customer’s requirements.\n\nGeneral Description:\n\nLearn now to:\n\n * Design and develop electronic test applications for functional test equipment.\n\n * Prepare and develop product test specifications and procedures in-line with customer’s requirements.\n\n * Document the project scope for each assignment.\n\n * Ensuring that procurement, design, development implementation is within project scope and /budget.\n\n * To design and develop new parts for our FLEX range of test systems.\n\n * Solving a range of Problems in test applications be they Mechanical, Electrical or Pneumatic.\n\n * Assembly of Mechanical and Electrical assemblies, including soldering and Crimping\n\n * Liaising with Suppliers and finding the most cost-effective manufacturing methods\n\n * Produce and Control Engineering drawings.\n\n * Support the preparation of project proposals and specifications for external bids.\n\n * Site visits as required which are occasional.\n\nTraining Provided:\n\nElectrical / Electronic hardware design, Pneumatic System Design, Schematic Capture.\n\nAdditional training as required including LabVIEW and TestStand Programming, Software Installation\n\nQualifications Required:\n\n * Formal engineering qualification in electronic engineering/electrical engineering. Ideally degree qualified in Electronic Engineering or other, related subject.
HNC/D in Electronic Engineering may be considered in lieu of experience.\n\n * A Level (or equivalent) in at least 2 of the following: Maths, Physics, Design Technology, IT, Electronics.\n\n * 5 GCSEs at Grade B or above\n\nCompetencies\n\n * Excellent organisational skills and ability to work on a variety of projects.\n\n * Strong verbal and written skills and a good communicator at all levels.\n\n * Team player and contributor.\n\n * Methodical with good attention to detail.\n\n * Self-starter and Self-Motivated.\n\n * Strong planning and time management skills – able to define and meet deadlines and targets.\n\n * Takes ownership and responsibility for personal actions/contribution and projects.\n\n * Knowledge of IPC610 and IPC620 would be useful\n\n * Agreeable and eligible to obtain required level of UK Security Clearance.\n\n * Hold full UK or EU Drivers Licence.\n\n * OWN TRANSPORT REQUIRED\n\nthis is an fantastic opportunity to join an established and extremely busy and growing manufacturer with a very strong order book.
