The Contracts Team manages a large portfolio of high-value GNFR, Uniform, Cleaning Services, and Security contracts across our stores. We collaborate with colleagues in the support office, field, supply chain, and stores to ensure all services and GNFR goods are delivered according to contract specifications.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Contract Specialist responsible for managing GNFR contracts, including high-profile contracts like Bunzl consumables and Uniform, among others. The ideal candidate will possess strong stakeholder management skills, hold suppliers accountable, and have a passion for continuous improvement, driving efficiencies and simplifying processes.
Excellent communication skills are essential for partnering with key stakeholders internally and externally, ensuring minimal disruption to store operations. Proficiency in Excel and the ability to analyze trends to monitor service performance are required. The environment is dynamic and varied, but the role's core responsibilities must be performed with discipline and strong oversight.
This permanent role reports to the Contracts Manager and is part of the broader Central Operations function based at the Support Office campus in Beeston.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Monitor performance and contract delivery
2. Review processes and enhance efficiencies
3. Collaborate with suppliers to introduce value-adding innovations
4. Support contract negotiations
5. Operational delivery
6. Conduct monthly Account Meetings
7. Create and maintain a self-serve communication repository for business partners (BootsLive, SharePoint, etc.)
8. Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate effectively at all levels
9. Deliver and own large contracts
10. Maintain high standards of verbal and written communication
11. Analyze trends and performance objectively
12. Assess risks and develop mitigation strategies
13. Hold stakeholders accountable at senior levels
14. Work to deadlines
15. Negotiate resource time and commitments
16. Lead and collaborate effectively within teams
17. Understand the challenges of retail environments
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
Knowledge of store operations is advantageous.
