Are you skilled in credit hire and passionate about delivering outstanding service? We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Credit Hire File Handler to join our team.
In this role you will investigate complex credit hire claims from a tactical and strategic perspective. The File Handler carries out complex and technical investigations on claims submitted from specific opponents, valued up to £25,000. You will become part of an incredible team, gaining experience to significantly reduce overall spend for our insurer clients.

Key Accountabilities
* Education - at least 3 GCSEs or equivalent are essential; a degree is preferable.
* Ability to use own initiative.
* Ability to plan and prioritise workloads.
* Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
* Good telephone negotiation skills.
* Ability to follow work processes and keep to Strategy.
* Ability to recognise when sensitivity and tact are required.
* Ability to make decisions and remain calm under pressure.
* Good IT skills including Word, Outlook, and experience of a Case Management System preferred.
* Experience of credit hire is essential; expected to have at least 12 months in an environment with credit hire cases.
Technical knowledge to be developed
* Understanding of Pre‑Proceedings Credit Hire.
* The life cycle of a file.
* Knowledge of common law and litigation principles.
* An understanding of costs and protective offers.
* How to prepare a case for litigation.

Working Hours
35 hours per week. Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. This is a hybrid role, working 1 day in the office and 4 days from home.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
* Experience handling Credit Hire files with evidence of managing own case load.
* Education - at least 5 GCSEs or equivalent are essential; a degree / LPC is preferable.
* Ability to use own initiative.
* Ability to plan and prioritise workloads.
* Excellent listening and verbal communication skills.
* Good telephone negotiation skills.
