Overview
Location: Norwich, Norfolk
Senior Engineer on our A47 National Highways project in Norfolk. You will take full responsibility for setting out, engineering control and quality, in addition to coordinating and mentoring the site engineering team.
What you will be doing
* Contribute to maintaining a safe working environment and assist in project planning and resource coordination.
* Manage subcontractor performance to ensure alignment with project timelines.
* Write, review, and implement Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), and Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
* Supervise site engineering team, delegate tasks, and mentor junior engineers.
* Control project schedules, attend coordination meetings, and update progress as required.
* Ensure work complies with project specifications, raise design-related RFIs and TQs, and maintain accurate documentation.
* Communicate with the commercial team for accurate financial reporting, manage snagging systems, and minimize site waste.
About you
* Work safely and proficiently interpret data and drawings.
* Advanced setting out skills, including Level, EDM, and GPS knowledge.
* Relevant civil engineering experience (Highways, Rail, Water, Aviation).
* Strong leadership, delegation, and problem-solving abilities.
* NVQ Level 3 or higher, SMSTS, CSCS card, and expertise in Office 365/CAD
